Analyzing frequency content of data

1) Start ProMAX by typing Promax in a terminal window.

2)When ProMAX appears, select the appropriate dataset by clicking once (left mouse button-MB1) on the name of that dataset. Copy the dataset by clicking on copy. Do not move the curser out of the window, or you will have to start over. Once you have clicked on the dataset to be copied, rename the flow (i.e. excersise.your-name).

3) Click on your new flow. Now in the flow, MB1 selects a function, MB2 opens the parameters box, and MB3 activates/deactivates a function. Open the parameters box and check/edit the parameters of the flow.

4) Once parameters are set, click Execute from the menu bar at the top of the window (MB2). You will get a window like this:

5) Clicking on the slope icon on the left side of the above screen allows you to create lines on the display of a given slope. Placing the curser in the display gives frequency information displayed at the bottom of the screen.
