Goals of this course:
- To analyze
and present quantitative data rigorously using correct cognative techniques
and styles,
- To formulate
good habits for written and oral communication
- To combine
these methods to enhance your ability to communicate difficult scientific
topics.
Additionally, our work will:
- Reinforce use of the Scientific Method
- e.g. hypothesis testing - asking questions
- collecting evidence
- constructing explanations, testing
- Practice Critical-Thinking Skills
- evaluating others work aids in good style
- Construct knowledge
- from experience and instruction
- Organize knowledge for use
- for accessibility (retrieval)
