Life as a geologist has spanned over 50 years
from an initial field trip to the Jurassic sediments of Roseberry
Topping in Yorkshire, England, to current work on the relationship
between Evolutionary Theory and the Future of Humanity.
Much of my life has been spent
studying the palaeontology and sedimentology of deltaic
sediments using the tools of statistics and computer
visualization.
My World of Science includes previously
unpublished information of use to students and fellow scientists. The
initial offering will comprise datasets from the deltas of Peninsular
India, lecture notes on the Principles behind Historical Geology,
translations from Russian, and some palynological images
of interest. Additions will be included as time permits.
Provided the source is recognized all of the information
can be downloaded and used for educational and non-commercial
purposes.
