The water in Clark Creek falls more than 20 feet at this location. A cemented siltstone forms the resistant layer at the lip of the falls that is more difficult to erode than the uncemented sands and clayey silts at the bottom of the waterfall. Blocks of this resistant layer that have been eroded from the valley walls are seen in the right foreground. The sediments forming the valley walls at this location belong to the upper part of the Fleming Formation.
