Virtual Field Trip
This application of website technology as a learning tool was developed with support from LaCEPT. The educational goals of this excercise include:
- assisting students in synthesizing course content,
- tapping student knoweldge, research abilities, and creativity,
- increasing student interaction with each other and geology staff through collaborative learning,
- introducing 'new' technologic resources to the students, such as the World Wide Web and digital image technology.
LaCEPT, the Louisiana Collaborative for Excellence in the Preparation of Teachers, is a program sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the Louisiana Board of Regents.
